i recently started this on sunday i need to lose 20 lbs fast, but with my job i really dont' have time to do exercise, so i decided to walk to work at least 3 times a week, which is a mile each time, and after work i do 20 min pilates, i cut back on soda and junk foods, i just don't know what else to do..i don't want an expensive diet ..does anybody know how to lose weight fast???

Jessica, eat 5 times a day (small potions, every 2 hours) This keeps your metabolism working all day long. For breakfast have some egg substitute with a slice of whole wheat bread, have a snack two hours later maybe some baby carrots, For lunch Try eating lots of protein like fish, salmon is really good with some rice and some steamed veggies, for an afternoon snack have some trail mix (healthy kind with no M&M's) for dinner have some grilled chicken with some beans. I would not recommend eating after 8:00 p.m. because most people aren't to active after this time. Also very importants is drinking LOTS of cool water, I drink 2.2 liters a day this helps alot. Also don't overdue your workout just yet, listen to your body if your not used to working out you will be sore and in pain. Hope this helps.

You're on the right track if you can stick with it, long-term, you should ward off lots of problems others have that don't exercise at all. I used to own a weight loss clinic where we put women on a 1,200 calorie diet for each day. We could take up to 100 pounds of folks like that in, like a year, but you have to remember that permanent weight loss requires permanent changes in your life-style. You can't go back to your own ways, "Twinkies, hot dogs, hamburgers and fries," just because you reached your lower weight goal. As for those sodas, cut out any colas, use only diet soda, like ginger ale, 7-UP, no coffee or caffeine drinks, they will just make you hungry. Drink eight glasses of water during the day (not all at once like one lady we discovered was doing). Oh well. I could go on, ,but just use your common sense, willpower, and you'll be able to pull through. Go for it and don't weigh yourself every day--maybe twice a week max. Mark your weight down as you achieve each new level. Enjoy it!

well theres no Fast way to lose diet.....instead of cutting back...completely pile Junk foods and Sodas out of your house and in your mind.....UNTIL you get that weight off..and then get some junk food for a reward :)
pilates wont do jack sh*t for weight loss..its meant for toning the muscles miss..... so try the 3 miles thing...get home walk in place and bring your knees up like your marching almost ...but walking in place..do that for 20 mins instead of Pilates....wait till your skinny to do Pilates :)

I lost weight but it takes time to rerally lose and keep it off. What your doing is fine. I eat non fast foods . I don't eat breads but maybe some garlic bread every couple of weeks. I drink skiin milk. Stay away from potatoes. I lost over 40 lbs kept off year in half. Eat plenty of fruit and veg. Try to keep under 1,000 calories daily. But I eat what I want. Drink caffene free tea a drinks. I call this PEM diet. Pem
