That's exactly what he's stating. Romans 13:10 "Love does no wrong to a neighbour; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law."

If you love someone, you do anything to keep yourself from hurting them. It belongs with Corinthians 13:2-13, too much to type the whole thing, but it explains what real love is, an exerpt is,

"Love is patient; love is kind, love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way. It is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in worngdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all tings, endures all things. Love never ends. ....An now faith, hope, and love abide, these three, and the greatest of these is love."

This is why I'm a Christian.

Now - if the world abided by the love stated here - what kind of world would it be? Maybe I should make that a question...

God bless!

Simply stated, YES! Of all the greatest gifts we could ever recieve or give is Love.

The next question may be: What is Love?Whatever Love is... it Must be sincere (Romans 12:9-13)

"Love must be Sincere. Hate is Evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. never be without Zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with god's peoplewho are in need. Practice hospitality

As far as the scripture one may argue that these things were written by Gods Holy inspired word, in a time where Rome was becoming a Sinful state(Government). There was a time when Rome was a Powerful Government. However, like other nations who become powerful and start to commit sin, Rome came to fall. Much like today where we see nations faltering.

I have read and researched alot of history and the Holy Bible. I have found one thing to be absolute. It is not how much we can learn from our reading the Bible. It is how much God will teach us. The more I read the Bible, the more questions I have. Only God can enlighten us and he will do so at his will not ours.

Yes. We can take the ten commandments and through the grace of God and the gift of salvation in Jesus Christ, find love to be the ultimate fulfillment. This is not love as the romantic love of young couples or even the love of a parent and child. This is the sacrificial love of self for others that is referenced. This can only be done through Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

That the apostle Paul's interpretation of Jesus's ministry is that the message of incarnation and salvation represents a command to love others and work in the world as an example of that harmony and affectionate trend.

I don't agree, personally. In Job, "An evil spirit went out from the Lord..." Say, that doesn't sound like love to me. Satan himself showed up near the end of Jesus's 40 days in the wilderness.

The appostle Paul didn't listen to any of these messages until he was struck blind! Now that may be an example of God's love, but it also reminds us that God isn't human and that kind of touch isn't human love.

So I think we need to be humbler than Paul is in his letter to the Romans.

I think John Lennon summed this little bit of scripture best when he said:

"All You Need Is Love"

Through all the laws that God has given, they really boil down to that pure, simple Love. Once you have that, there is no chance for evil to step into our lives and destroy us.

Peace be with you.

Sure, and that love is defined by the laws.

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40

We are given law and examples in scripture so that we can know how to love God and mankind.

Scripture is God's inerrant word to us. This mean that there are no errors, mistakes, things left out, things put in that should not be there. It is inspired by God himself. The passage that you refer to in your question tells us that Jesus fulfilled the law, meaning that we are no longer under it - see Romans 3:21ff. We just need to accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior - then we have eternal life.

Yes that pretty much sums up the law. But are you wondering if all you have to do is love your fellow man to get into Heaven? Then the answer is no because you can't just isolate one passage of scripture and ignore all the others. Christ also said that we must:

Hear the Gospel. "How shall they call on him whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe him whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14).

Believe. "And without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing unto him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him" (Hebrews 11:6).

Repent of past sins. "The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now he commandeth men that they should all everywhere repent" (Acts 17:30).

Confess Jesus as Lord. "Behold here is water; What doth hinder me to be baptized ? And Philip said, if thou believeth with all thy heart thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God" (Acts 8:36-37).

Be baptized for the remission of sins. "And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:38).

Live a Christian life. "Ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9).

We have to listen to everything that God, Christ, and the Bible says if we truly want to do God's will and get to Heaven to be with Him! :)

It means that all of Christ's teachings can be boiled down to loving God with all your heart. And loving everyone around as if they were Him.

To have that love we wouldn't do harm to anyone,or commit adultery or murder or owe debt --- it definitely isn't the love you hear kids talking about --- "the butterfly feelings"
