Hopefully someone will grow tired of you one day (wait, I already have) and dump you somewhere you spoiled little brat.

The fact that you have this cat very much tells everyone right away you are a good caring person. If you go and ditch it, eventually you will regret it because you know it is wrong and you will not be able to forgive yourself. Just follow the advise of the five first answers and drop it off at the SPCA. There are millions of individuals wishing for such a cat. So give yourself and the cat a chance to move forward.

Good Luck

Living out here, I have taken in many cats that have been, literally, ditched. Obviously, you do not have a loved one to whom to give the cat? That is what figures about people who choose to have a cat. They jump into relationships to which they cannot commit. If you were pregnant, would you be asking where you can have an abortion, without feeling bad?

You've grown tired of her? She is supposed to be part of your family. Before you do anything, put yourself in her place and imagine how you would feel. And if you ditch her somewhere, you deserve to feel bad for the rest of your life. The least you could do is take her to a no kill shelter. Just what has she done to you to make you so sick of her?? Tried to love you?? I'm just wonder how long you have had her. If it took a couple months or several years to "get sick of her" how sad, Surely someone else in your family loves her enough to keep her.

Please do not just "ditch" the cat. I live in the country and have
had MANY bad experiences with dogs and cats being "ditched"
by my home. Call the humane society or put up posters on community bulletin boards to give the cat to someone who cares. These animals do not know how to fend for themselves as they have always been taken care of.

NEVER just toss your cat out. You can put an add in the Penny Savor or something and find her a home that way. I love Tuxedo cats,I have a male one.

That is easy... Find a friend or neighbor who likes cats and give her as a gift to them. This way you can still see her and how she is doing with her new family.

I would be careful which shelter to bring any animal to because if they don't find a home for them they kill them. You can go to a local shelter and wait outside with your cat in a box, for someone who may be going to the shelter to adopt one. This way you will know they will take care of her if they were looking for one anyway. hope this helps you out

Please don't ditch the cat. Find a good home for her. Or find a shelter for her. Be careful of the "pound" or "Humane shelters". Some euthanize animals (kill them) and some don't. Your cat does not deserve to be killed. But it is possible for her to find a new loving home and a new life. Please give her that chance. You wont regret it. There are times in our lives when we are not able to be the pet owners that our pets deserve. It takes a lot of gumption to do the right thing and find another home for them.
Best of luck to both of you.

Wow... that's kind of messed up. I've "ditched" one pet in my entire life, and that's because she peed on EVERYTHING, no joke. Please don't tell me you got it when it was a kitten and now you're done with it. Well, at least you're trying to be "kind of" nice, I guess. But yea, take it to the animal shelter... and please don't try getting another one (at leastfor a while).
PS. Sorry if I came off a bit rude, I'm an extreme animal lover and support multiple animal rights organizations... I'm just happy you're trying to do the right thing, unlike a lot of others who dump pets next to a road far from home.

well, i wouldnt ditch the cat if i were you because that is just plain horrible crewl and mean!! i suggest that you take your cat to the MSPCA / SPCA or your local animal shelter. Please , Please do not just leave your cat stranded and helpless because believe me, if you do this you will feel terrible about what you did. If you are unable to give your cat to an animal shelter, ask a responsible friend if they can take the cat.

damn!! You are very heartless.. Instead of "ditching" your cat I suggest take her to shelter (where most likely she will be put to sleep) if you can't find anyone to RESCUE the cat from YOU or post ads on online classified section. I know buybelowcost.com and petfinder.org have classified section which is free for you to post ad.
