WOW! What a response! I'm trying to say when someone refers to an illegal immigrant as such it seems to be a dirty word, why do people get upset when you call them that? The saying A rose by any other name is a rose is just saying call an illegal immagrant anything you want they are still illegal immagrants! Think a little longer before you respond next time maybe.

The rationale for the PC term "undocumented worker" over illegal immigrant is to emphasize the fact that the person is here and working, as opposed to simply breaking the law. The idea is to minimize people's emotional reaction to these immigrants' presence and to change the question from one of legality to one of documentation. Everyone agress at this point that a mass deportation is not in the works, so we need to find a way to let these people stay here and contribute to society instead of simply labelling them "illegal." That's the rationale, anyway.

Arroz ( a rose ) in Spanish is rice.

I agree. The term "illegal immigrants" cannot be put in a more politically correct verbiage. Illegal IS illegal! A rose needs to stay a rose, not rice.

Illegal immigrant is itself a mis-nomer, a false naming. Mexican, honduran, guatemalan, venezuelan, chinese, vietnamese, and other citizens are in our country illegally. 'Illegal immigrant' is kind of a nonsense term, a blanket label to refer to all of the above, that doesn't do a good job of describing any of this in sufficient detail as to actually make sense, hence the terms' popularity in Washington. You may as well call em 'fleebles' or 'dwoobies'.

'Illegal immigrant' is just another mental 'present' from some of our ****-for-brains politicians who couldn't find their *** with a map and a compass and both hands...
