Usually it is because of different metabolisms, heredity can have something to do with it, so can how active, or inactive a person happens to be, exercise or lack of it, age, lots of factors. Not fair, is it? I'm one of them too - people who eat and eat and never gain an ounce. I just have a fast metabolism, plus the things I like to pig out on tend to be on the healthy side - a big plate of cheese and crackers, say, rather than a banana split. I will tell you, though, that when people like me try to GAIN weight it is very hard; I'm pregnant and have only gained 15 pounds in 9 months! It would be better if I could gain more but no matter how much I eat I stay slim.

It really doesnt matter you guys can still be the same age and be fitt and excercise. Its probaly because he has a higher matabolism than you do thats why you cant eat late at night like that

Its what type of food you eat......many people in europe dont eat dinner until 9,10pm...and then drink wine all night.....thats a lot of calories late at night....typically their diet is high in unsaturated fats, omega 3's.

he is one of those lucky people with a fast metabolism. It's probably his genes but healthy people can also have a fast metabolism. (working out and blah blah) Read about how to fasten your metabolism but it isnt easy.

your friend has a fast motabolism, there are numerous things you can do to speed yours up, ask a nutritionist or doctor they can point you in the right direction.
