i am very torn between "newer" unique names
OR
old names (as they seem to not be used as often)

London, Aspen, Drake, Page, Foster, Farrah, Kennedy, seem "newer"

Catherine, Elisabeth, Sarah, Ann, Susan, Eve, Caroline, Carolyn seem "older" more traditional... but not overly used?

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Just remember how many times a day your little one will have to spell or repeat his/her name if you name them something that isn't easily identifiable. Granted, there are always plenty of morons to screw things up, so if you try to give your baby a name that MOST people can read, recognize, and pronounce the right way, with no funky spellings, life will be MUCH easier on them. I personally think that misspelling a name just in the sake of uniqueness is a lifelong sentence of repeating yourself and correcting people on how to say and spell your name. Enough of a soapbox, I LOVE the names Eve, Caroline, Eva, Rose, Lydia, Margo, and Mara...... What fun!

Email me when you pick one! :) starsalso@yahoo.com also try going to kabalarian.com You can type in a name and look up the meaning as well as what effects the name may have on your childs personality. Its fun, and also has like every name from every culture and language. So its a cool place to look up names

Old names are much more stylish. "Newer" one will be seen nearly as bad as the hippy ones like Aquarius later on in the kids life.

Carolyn and Drake are good ones. Paige is better than Page in my book. I gave my kids older names. Lillian is one example.

I prefer the old-fashioned names, which are classy and have stood the test of time. I like Anna, Emily, Lily and Isabel for girls, and Jack, Oliver, Harry and Jarvis for boys.

If you look in the section of the newspaper where prostitutes advertise their services, you will see they mostly have "modern" names, like Britney, Talia, Paige, Madison, Dorletta and so on.

For me, these kind of names are inextricably connected with sex workers.

Newer or older names put together can make a good name for a baby! Combine both of them together and make a great name for your baby!
