Also, Jesus was born and placed in a manger which is a trough or an open box where feed for livestock is placed.

NamesAreMuch, there is a lot more to it than the particular observation I am pointing out in this question, but I don't think you would be willing to read a book about it.

Heron By The: I didn't make up what I said. I am only pointing out what is in the bible. Read the book of Luke.

Very cool - I'd never known that Bethlehem means "house of bread", when you put it all together, it just reinforces the Eucharist that much more.
Wow! I'm going to have to meditate on this for a bit. It kind of makes your head swirl a little doesn't it? Definitely need to re-read Isaiah, Luke, and Revelations - along with this, makes for signifiant pondering. Beautiful! Further proof that the Catholic Church IS the true Church of Jesus Christ, as it was then, it still is.
I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend! Awesome question!
God bless!!

Did you just get saved or what? Get a real life!
You really need to read the Bible rather than relying on your Preacher, Pastor or Priest. Truth is ....GOD IS DESTROYING THE EARTH.
The UV layer is almost gone but this really only affects humans and amphibians....the EARTH will be just fine and so will most other living creatures.
The real truth is that GOD is killing the earth. When humans believe they have an "after-life" then they do not care about the current life or even future life on this planet. Christianity and Islam's gift to the future....A planet of glass, nuclear fall-out and green-house gasses.....Pray for your children and all the future generations that have to live in the garbage pit you leave behind.

But in Arabic Bethlehem means House of Meat. By your analogy is Jesus a sandwich?

There's a lot of those things to ponder about.
Like Jesus was probably born in September according to our current calendar. On the Feast of the Trumpets. And will probably return that same day, on the Feast of the Trumpets. It's called Trumpets because there are two trumpets on the day.

the first bit of information I can buy. The second thing seems to be going a bit too far with the analogy. No offense. At first, I thought you were going to say a manger was like a breadbox. LOL.

If he came from "house of fish" then *that'd* make sense too. If he came from tel aviv (spring mound) then *that'd* make sense since jesus represents the pascal lamb, and passover is in the spring. etc.. etc..
My point is that I think you're reading into it. Then again, I'm not christian.
