'giving your life' is really passive verbiage...Patton said it best: " no man ever won a war, by dying for his country. The only way to win a war, is to make the other poor dumb bastard die for HIS country". Well, that's probably not 100% exact, but look it up on the internet.
George Carlin had a lot to say about words, and how they influence our thinking...'giving your life' is well, 'gay'. In war, you shoot the other people, and then you 'win'. Once upon a time, back in the day, this country laid waste to some of the worst dictatorships known to man, and gave the others pause to reconsider the merits of their evil ways. That was 'back in the day'. Thanks to decades of knock-kneed liberals and people with other agendas, people feel free to thumb their noses at our country, flaunt our laws, and generally do whatever the hell they feel like. Witness the flag-burning debate.
I don't think you should 'give your life' for anything. Once you're dead, you can't go around and do stuff no more, 'cause it's like, hard to walk. Instead, figure out how to solve problems more effectively, like writing honest, clear-headed policy and enacting laws to enforce same. And, if it comes to the point of waging war, don't do it in bite-sized pieces. You know, if you can't do it right, don't do it at all? That kind of thing.
Let's build that border, and talk to lawmakers to ask them to work reforms on a lot of things so that the Great Big Handout Machine gets shut off, for one, and for another, that the US/Mexico border be watched over with all due diligence, because apparently we can only count on one thing, the continued violation of our laws,
verbal and maybe someday physical aggression by the more outspoken illegal immigrants and newly, their US-based supporters, basically the time has come to act. Shut the border, end the problems. Simple.

I think that as long as the illegals that are here all ready want to pay all there back taxes that have not been paid and pay back the assistance they have received. They should be allowed to stay. Ha! Yes I would give my life, They are or will be illegal! If I sell illegal drugs to your mom should I be allowed to? No it's illegal! My kid had to share his text books at school last year cause someone isn't paying there taxes! It's ok they can have my money. c'mon what part of illegal do people not get?

Yes, definitely. Because, the latest thing I see happening that is a national travesty is the illegal-alien mess our senators want to foist upon us by allowing illegal aliens to have amnesty and a guestworker program.
They even had the gall to add at the last minute a provision that says America must ask Mexican President Vicente Fox before we can build a fence across the border between Mexico and the United States. (I don’t think so!)
We should have built this fence right after 9/11 to stop the entry of terrorists into our country. But there is still hope. Call your lawmakers and oppose amnesty and the guestworker program. Urge them to seal our borders, ship all illegals in our country home and support the laws we already have.
There is nothing racist about opposing this bill. It is strictly about right and wrong. It is wrong to allow illegals to come into our country, no matter their color. They are breaking laws by coming into our country.
We have laws allowing people to immigrate, and everyone coming into our country must obey those laws, or they should not be allowed to come here. The people who obey those laws and come the legal way are called immigrants; these people who are coming here illegally are called illegal aliens. They are not citizens of our country, and they have no rights at all, so they cannot demand rights they are not entitled to.
They should be shipped back to their countries of origin and not allowed to return since they are criminals, and we shouldn’t be giving them benefits or allowing their babies born in our country to have instant citizenship.
I am sure many readers saw their demonstrations recently, flying the Mexican flag in our streets, demanding rights reserved for American citizens and allowing children to cut class from taxpayers’ schools to demonstrate. If our children had done such a thing, they would have been expelled from school, and if our citizens had left work to demonstrate in the streets, they would have been fired. There is something wrong with this picture.
Who gave them the right to demonstrate in American streets in the first place? When we demonstrate in the streets, we have to get permission and a permit, and even then, we are pelted with rubber bullets, sprayed with mace, jailed, etc. Did you see any of that happening to these illegals? I certainly didn’t! They should have been picked up and shipped home, where they could fight for their rights in their own country!
We are still fighting for our rights here in America and losing them within the past two administrations faster than we are gaining. We might be ahead to cross the Mexican border and come back as illegal aliens; we would have more rights than we do now. Makes me wonder why the government is pandering to these illegals; believe me, Congress and our president have an agenda, and I don’t think we are going to like what that agenda is. We must remember every one of them who voted for this amnesty bill. In Ohio, Republican Sens. Mike DeWine and George V. Voinovich both voted for the amnesty bill. Remember them in November and vote them out of office.

I wouldn't give me life per say, I think we americans don't know how special our country is. But yes, I guess depends on the situation. Our employment rate is terrible, and if that means by any means necessary, then hell I'll die to feed my son, and to survive. Americans have it hard trying to get employed with being citizens, so why is it so easy for immigrants to come in and get all the grants and etc. Good question.

I shouldn't have to. If our government was doing their job, it wouldn't have to come to that for anyone, including those illegals who unfortunately die in the attempt.
