I'm a well over 6', black slim 16 year old with a nerd-like appearance similar to Steve Urkel on "Family Matters". My self-esteem is a bit low because I have never had a true relationship. In my area, the black girls don't like me because I don't fit their "ganster" standards; and the white girls seem to want to be friends, nothing more. I am horrible at speaking with girls. I don't know if girls like smart guys. I don't go out much, don't party, I don't socialize/hang out as often as expected, don't drink or smoke or disobey the law.
I was wondering... Will teenage girls like guys like me?

dude, its a phase. High school is all ******** anyways. Believe me, the moment you let your social pressures control your personal goals, you'll be fuck3d. You probably are going to college right? If you are as smart as you say you are, you are probably going to be making 10x as much as any of these "gangstas", that these girls are attracted to currently, will be making. Don't let the fact that you're probably more mature than the majority of your grade bring you down to their level. You don't have to party and crap to be respected. You're over 6' so i doubt anyone is about to try and 4uck with you, and girls tend to like taller guys anyways. Also, just be confident. who the hell cares if you arent gangsta?! That's almost a compliment. high school sucks and believe me college is completely different so stop worrying.

King, your physical appearance will change as you progress farther into manhood therefore you have little reason to worry about this matter. As for the personality traits you have described, I must assure you that to many women they are significantly more impotent than your external features. So, In my opinion you all ready obtain the key to your success at relationships. As a farther thought, I would encourage you to socialize more than you have been. For example, if you are a good student, inquire about a tutoring position at your school. You also mentioned that there are girls that want to be friends with you. Though in the eyes of many this is not very promising the "position" of a friend is a very important one. It indicates the trust which you inspire.
But, first and foremost, do not despair, never alter who you are to please those around you and always remember that the Lord has a plan for you life and He has created a sole mate for ever human being!

Yo man, I think you are fine. I bet there are many girls out there fall for guys like you.
It's aye if you are not the "gangsta" or "thug" type, as long as you are smart and sophisticated. Make sure you do well in school, get good grades, know how to smooth talk to people (identify their inner and outer beauty and praise them), and work hard. A good education and a stable income is very important. Have a good heart and character. Character is what identifies you.

Girls will like you. It may be hard for you to find a girl that like you because it may seem that the majority of the girls like the "ganster" type, but there is a girl for you. When you are confident in yourself you will to talk to girls better and then possilbe find the right girl for you.

Yes, they will. Just be yourself. I am a romantic, loving, caring ,man and have a sexy 32 year old cheerleader marrying me in 15 days...and I am not all that...but my uniform helps :-)
