I was wondering where I can catch some really big catfish in Texas.I'm tired of messing around with the small ones!!!And what line liter and bait do you suggest?

Strong line and stink-to-high-heaven bait. Also, whistle to throw off thier radar.

Well, since fish are fish and not an animal, I'll all for catching them and having a great meal.
Big fish - I think you should use squid as bait or a small fish. I'm not sure about the line liter (I've been in Hawaii a long time - I like to catch Pacific Blue Marlin and Mahi Mahi). I would check with the lake you are fishing and see what is the biggest catfish yanked out of there and use an appropriate liter.

I go fishing for little fish. I always intend to catch bigger fish, but I always end up with small ones. I won a junior bass fishing contest once contest when I was younger and I caught an 8 oz. rock bass. Nobody caught anything at all, so they said that they would accept it, just to get rid of the trophy. Pathetic! The fish on the trophy was almost bigger than the one I caught!
