i wasnt in foster care but a similar situation
I was in a residential school from 13 to 18 .this school divided students in to houses of four boys with a set of house parents
(a maried couple) that ran the house in efect being foster parents
the first two couples that ran the house i was in realy had no use for kids and treted us poorly ,beliteled us kept us away (in school or in room no talking no goofing around no being boys) the third couple came when i was seventeen and thogh we treated them as we did the others (expecting them to be the same ) they didnt give up on us with the help of these special people i was able to grow and mature and i will always consider them friends
even so some scars still remain and one is a lack of confidence
and there is also a lack of trust
these will probably always be with me but so will the compasion that 2 people showed me and my brotheren

i grew up in foster care. (did visits with the "parents") but they could have cared less about what was going on in my foster homes. (yep home's'). i wouldn't say my life was completely screwed up though. i think i came out better for it really. i don't think like other people. i think pretty quick on my feet. and common sense didn't escape me either. also you learn to read people pretty well. and have an understanding of human nature. in the long run, i think it was good for me, but at the same time i didn't get the opportunities that other people did. like having mommy and daddy pay for my college. (i went of course, but didn't finish, it's not easy when you have to work one full time job, and a part time job just to pay your bills. it must be nice to have parents who hold your hand through life, or at least till you're like 24-26). honestly, i wouldn't change anything. i like the way i turned out. even without the monetary advantages, i'm still just fine.

My brother was in a foster home where they had their own kids and foster kids and the foster kids were the ones that got beat and had to do all the work (also on a farm). if that is what you are asking.

Not me. I have my original parents, and they still treat me well.
