Recent studies, show, without a doubt, drinking coffee in moderate amounts, has many benefits. Coffee contains antioxidants, called, "Polyphenols". Studies show that coffee drinkers are lowering their risk of Diabetes, Heart Disease, Cancer, and more. A coffee called Kopi Luwak, is the most expensive coffee in the world, at $75 per 1/4 pound. It is eaten by a Palm Civet, and then excreted. *It is also supposed to be the 'best' tasting coffee, as well!

NO ONE has EVER PROVED that coffee has any detrimental effects. NO ONE, so you then can look at whether it has any positive effects. In athletics it helps performance, as in studies and in driving long distances. It may cost a lot from time to time, especially if you get really "hooked" on it and enjoy good coffee beans, freshly ground, with whatever extras you want to put in your cup, like latte for example. My wife has really done a great job with my coffee since I've come to appreciate Italian Roast over French Roast. Italian Roast has a much fuller taste, and is still the strong dark roast that French Roast is. My wife sometimes puts a bit of latte in it and some sugar to sweeten the taste and make it a "fuller" flavor. I can promise you, if you're drinking just "straight" coffee, you'll love to "branch out" and sample the enormous variety of coffee beans, and I can promise you, unless you have some allergy to coffee beans, you will never suffer any bad effects of drinking good coffee. Just be willing to enjoy it for the good tasting drink it is instead of just drinking some sewage brew that a lot of people put together and leave on their burner all day long. God Bless you.

I believe it is good for you in moderation, the conflicting ingredient in the coffee is caffeine.
It is generally considered safe for most people to consume a moderate amount of caffeine — about 300 milligrams, or the amount in two cups of coffee. People who have certain health problems need to check with their doctor as they consider their caffeine intake.

Benefits of Caffeine: Scientific evidence continues to show that not only is coffee drinking in moderation perfectly safe, and no threat to health, it can also have some health benefits.

Want a drug that could lower your risk of diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and colon cancer? That could lift your mood and treat headaches? That could lower your risk of cavities?

If it sounds too good to be true, think again.

Coffee, the much maligned but undoubtedly beloved beverage, just made headlines for possibly cutting the risk of the latest disease epidemic, type 2 diabetes.

If you have concerns read up on it and make the choice yourself.

from what I can figure, if it feels good, tastes good, or looks good, it will kill you

So forget it, I'm gonna drink coffee, by the gallon, with ASPARTAME sweetener in it, and smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, have sex as often as physically possible and shoot up my face with botox so I won't look so sleepy

I mean... anything should be ok... in moderation
