say if ruff tenage yobs in my neighbour hood were to break in my flat when i was out and take what few possessions i have including my computer and leave me with nothing? a truly nightmarish thought for me. i have racing thoughts and i worry alot, get into panicks and anxiety all the time. think of nightmarish scenarios. im having shooting pains in my groin and left thigh and my penis at the moment, say if its something serious? and im only 29...say if my lower two missing teeth stop me getting lucky with the girl that im visitin on sunday? say if i clam up and my mind goes blank and i have racing thoughts while im there, which normally results in my esteem leaving me, and the bottom droppin outta my world and then i come accross like i dont have a clue, talking wise, or i go sullen and quiet? oh f***cking no. can someone help me with these issues please or try help me resolve them, thankyou

I have high anxiety problems as well. You need to do the following to help control it.
1. STOP
2. Close your eyes
3. Find a place that makes you smile and be happy, just picture it in your head. For me it is a big empty field on the edge of the woods, where no-one else is around for miles.
4. Smile
5. Be happy.
6. Love yourself
7. Figure out who you are as a person. Focus on being a good person
8. Know that there is a God. (Not to be preachy, but I have felt his presence. I know he exists, and he has shown me that I can make something posative out of any situation if I stop focusing on negatives. Take a deep breath, look around, Be greatful for my health.)
9. Make one person around you smile. Help one person you don't know and as repayment, have them do the same for someone else.
10, Teeth are not everything ( I have none, I am 27, mine have been out since I was 22) Any female worth having in your life will love you for you, not just for a handsome peice of tail that she can show off and parade.
I could go on and on about this but I think you get the point, preoccupy yourself with all the good in your life, make no room for the bad, and the anxiety will melt away. Also ask your doctor about medications that may work for you. I have been taking lexapro 20mg once a day in the morning for 3 months now, and my depression is allmost gone, and it is easier to control the anxiety.

First of all, you need to tell yourself that your possessions do NOT make who you are. They have no part in you breathing, loving, or any of your 5 senses. If you think you would be more distraught over your stuff being stolen than losing a close friend or family member, you need to reconsider your priorities. However, it sounds to me that you DO have anxiety. I have suffered from this since I was 12 years old. I am an extrovert, I love being with and around people, I am always the party starter and fellow comedian. However, I get jittery and butterflies in the stomach before I go somewhere-do I look ok? is so-and-so going to be there? what if no one talks to me? I wish I were40 lbs thinner...and so on. Then when I get there, every thought like that vanishes. Talk to a doctor. Doesn't have to be a psych or therapist, it could just be your General Physician. They can help you out with that. If you don't you could get stomach ulcers and other really crappy stuff could happen to you...it is true...what starts as mental can definitely end as painfully physical.
Good Luck

I think this is the wrong category for your question. But hey i'm gonna give you my favorite remedy, and this is totally serious. I'm a christian, have been for years. I had my clothes stolen recently, lost my job, cause i was a little too ethical. Life has been a true nightmare lately. I might under normal circumstances be panicky cause there's more to it than what i listed. but here, my answer is Jesus, seriously. He is there for me in ways no one else has been. When i'm alone just letting all my crazy thoughts go, just because i ask HIm to, He replaces them with assurance that my life will turn out ok. It's as simple as a prayer. Trust me on this one please

you will have to see a counsellor immeditately, in order to take consultation, and necessary medicines, to change your attitude towards life. if we worry allthe time, that we will be robbed, there is no end to it ! you seem to be lonely, with no friends. insure your goods also. but make an appointment with the psychiatrist, talk about your problems, and you would feel much better. in the mean-time, see a physician about your shooting pains. most probably, they are due to anxiety, which the psychiatric treatment will cure, but get the doctor's opinion also.

Hey, I think your situation cannot be solved by anything other than therapy or maybe a psycologist or something. Or maybe you just need a friend, I dunno.
