I'm looking for a camera that has a really good zoom feature. I have no clue what all the numbers/ specifications mean on all the camera descriptions I have seen so far, but I just want the BEST one. Too bad I don't know what that is so if anyone knows which cameras/ brands are best for, like, concerts or sports events if you're in the nosebleed sections and want nice/real-looking close-up pictures, then I would appreciate the help and answers. ~Thanks everyone, have a nice day~

Always look for an optical zoom, not a digital zoom. Optical means that the camera physically zooms, while digital means that the "computer" in the camera spreads out the pixels so it looks like you were closer. The problem with this is it decreases the quality of the print. Besides, you can do the same thing on your computer with even the most basic photo editing software.

If you can find a 10X optical zoom, that's pretty good. Most cameras I see have only a 3x optical zoom.

There are a lot of other things to consider when choosing a digital camera. Make a list of what's most important to you (size - do you want to put it in your pocket or on a strap around your neck, price, size of your prints/megapixels, etc.). Check out the link below for more help.
