About 6 months assuming that you mean the legal concept of immigration (i.e. permanent residency).

This depends on the type of visa you are applyng for. If you are applying for a skilled migration visa, usually 12-18 months. If you are applying for a family visa the processing can take anywhere from 1 month to 10 years. If you provide more details, e.g. type of visa and where it is being lodged I will be able to tell you how long it will take to process.
