Wow I can't believe all the wrong answers!! Anyway it means he is trying to dominate them. It doesn't matter male or female because either will do it. Unless he is taught to see them as above him in rank it will continue to get worse. The first step is to have him neutered (which has been done good job) the next is to lower his rank to them. When they are going out the door he has to wait till they go out ahead of him. Same goes for coming in. They eat before he is fed, he should start doing something for his food (no more free lunch). Make him sit or lie down before you feed him. Simple stuff like this will reduce his need to lead. Also whenever he does this to them you should shout a "NO" and send him outside or into another room without contact for a few moments. Don't put him into his crate or wherever his sleeping quarters are as this will have an adverse affect. Continue this and he should pick up rather quickly what you don't want him doing.

When a dog is fixed they still have hormones. Kinda like when a man gets fixed, they still have urges and for a while they will hump everything. Just scold/punish him every time he does it. Dogs are smart he will learn. Good Luck. If the problem persists, see a vet.

how old was the dog when he was neutered?..... My puppy started humping things at 10 weeks and i went and had him neutered 3 days later and he hasnt done it since. It is a behaviour that they pick up from all the testosterone in his system, if they are neutered at an early age they will not hump things.

It means he has really bad manners and needs training. Dump all that silly dominance stuff, as if your dog cares who goes out the door first. Instead just teach him a rock solid sit and ask him to sit/stay when he gets that special gleam in his eye. He'll get over it.

It is not sexual - it is a dominance behavior. Do not mistake dominance for aggressive - it is not the same thing. When he does this behavior, disengage him firmly but not aggressively and direct him to another activity.

It is 100 percent a dominance thing and needs to be addressed.

It has nothing to do with sex.

I'm afraid what you have is a sexual predator who died and was reincarnated as your yellow labrador!

He smells the estrus and thinks it's time to procreate.
