god works in mysterious ways. he can answer you in different ways, like through someone that speaks in an unknown tongue, or through a miricle, or a sign.

Interesting Question!
Here is my thoughts about prayers. Hope you don't mind. I believe that God answers prayers in many different ways. I also believe that faith is important. Pray for something one time only and then do not worry about it again. If you prayer is answered right away then good. If not, God is telling you no or not right now. But do not loose your faith.

if you go to him in prayer, just because you want something,it might be a while, you have to pray to him all the time, not just when you want something, have you ever prayed just to say how you feel about him,and his sonchristjesus, give you an example, the other day there was a question on here, somebody asked ,if somebody died in your life time that you could bring back to life, who would it be? most people said there mom, or there brother, or there dad, which is alright, but the most important answer to that, to me, is jesus, its not just important to me, but to everybody and mostly to god,in thinking that way, do you think that god may find the time to answer a prayer for you as long as it wasnt for greed? try alittle bit of talking with him.

God is answering your prayers; it is simply not the answer you want. Please remember that the more difficult things get for you, they're just going to be that much more amazing when God all is resolved. Just keep the faith and know that God will never, ever let you down. God Bless.

As bad as life is, can you imagine how bad it could get without prayer?
It has been my experience that when I pray for a resolution, instead of a 'yes' or 'no' answer, I get something in the middle I never could have guessed and it always works out for the best.

Some prayers are better unanswered. It's not that he don't hear them ,it is just not the right time. you never know just keep praying one of these days when the lord thinks you are ready then your prayers will be answered

God hears your prayers. He knows what you need before you even ask it. He may not respond in a 'booming' voice with a YES or NO, but He hears what you ask, and He knows your heart. Keep trusting and praying and most of all, having faith. Try to talk to your minister at church if you need some more guidence.

there's a song...'sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers'. only He knows all because He is all-knowing. sometimes life seems like it's falling but we cannot predict what is going to happen. we can only place our trust in Him and have FAITH. imagine our trust in Him as a container, bringing that container to the wellspring of the Lord. The more trust we have, the more graces we are to receive. trust.

God answers prayers ALL the time. Sometimes with a "YES", sometimes with a "NO", and other times with a "WAIT". I think it's us who don't listen/obey/adhere to what He says.
