It has a really bent frame and even if it is fixed it would takeand extensive amount of time and money. It also will have a salviged title because of the frame. The inside is still in pretty good condition, black automatic with leather seats, sunroof, and seat warmers. I got an offer for $1,000 which seemed good, but the guy never showed up. Would I make more money selling it for parts, or selling it in it's current condition? Keep in mind I don't know how to part it out myslef so I would have to hire someone to do it and pay them for their time.

If this is a solicitation for someone local to you, I do wish you luck. I suspect you would be better off selling "As IS" simply because you may not have the time, space, desire, to keep it and let people come by and pull parts from it, as they would at a vehicle salvage yard.

That said however,,, Parting it out, could be more profitable, and certainly if you had the desire you could price the parts that are saleable, and hold it until you have nothing left, then have it towed away for salvage.

I just read the last sentence,,,ooops. I suggest you sell it as is, or for sale for a parts car. I hope you've already recovered something from insurance.

It seems too, that patience, no matter what way you go, will be necessary. $1000 is likely very reasonable, and if it were parted out, you could probably make more.

To part it out yourself will be nothing but trouble. People will come out and trash what is left of the car and offer you little money. It would be better to just list the engine/transmission for sale and make the buyer pull it. See what they sell for on e-bay. When they're done sell it to a salvage yard. They will even come and get it. Good luck!

If you could part it out yourself you could bring in a very a considerable amount of money, but regardless I think you could probably get more than $1000 selling it whole as parts.
