The dogs normaly pointed face now looks square. I was thinking that it may be caused by a bee bite or many bee bites, but she doesn't act as if she is in any pain or discomfort and she just ate dinner without a problem.
Has anyone ever seen any simalar symptoms on a dog?

Probably a bee. I wouldn't worry about it too much. The swelling Will go down on its own, Benedryll will help as well, dose her the same as for a ten year old.

I have seen it several times with the dogs that I owned. Look closely at the wound and see if there are two pucnture wounds. If there are some present then most likely your dog was bitten by a snake. Most snake bites to a dog arent fatal. If there is only one puncture, then more than likely its a bee or wasp sting.

I ran to the Vet today, because my dog either got stung or bit by a spider & the eye's blew up & bumps appeared on the body. Her skin was hot & red. I took a benadryl out & made a meat ball out of canned food & gave it to her. When I saw she wasn't able to swallow that well, is when I knew we had to run fast to the Vet. Her breathing was labored & her throat was closing.
The Vet said that was good I gave the benadryl but for a 67lb dog you give 3 adult pills.
The treatment was a shot of predinsone/benadryl & pills to take home.
Anytime your see swelling, my suggestion is to go to the Vet.
My dog happen's to like to catch flies, bee's, moth's etc....
Good Luck!!!!!

there is the first problem-your letting her run free, she could get into anything! it sounds like bee stings, but if it is she should have a lot of pain with it.maybe you could try putting on a cold rag to see if the swelling goes down, other than that, take her to a vet. animals can get very sick from bee stings. try to keep her tied or penned up.

You should probably see what the vet says. If not an insect bite or sting, she may have gotten into some kind of irritating plant. Worst case scenario would be some kind of chemical irritant that could have other effects. That's why you should check with the vet.

BEES. If the swelling doesn't go down call the vet. Give it one day only.
