I was thinking of the other way round, such as wind past a house, drawing heat out of it. You'd have to be qualified to use refridgerants though. Getting rid of heat - I hadn't thought of that.

I once was in a house where they mounted the fridge in a doorway or in the wall
it was the kind with back coils.
the back (and outside coils) were in the enclosed porch
the rest of the fridge was in the kitchen

I would think it would work good to keep from heating the kitchen too much on a hot day

although new fridges and AC units are much more effecient than old ones.

it would be hard on a fridge to cool anything larger than a very small room (like 5x10)

no, but I was thinking more of a cooler for the computer using the cooling system from a car fridge connected to 12 V. Never tried it, but I thought it you`d like the idea

Just put the back side towards an enclosed space, and open the fridge door. Though would not be very efficient

The fridges in supermarkets do a good cooling job in the shop as well as keeping the food chilled/frozen.
