If your school has an orientation for new students or an open house before school starts, you should go. You can meet all your teachers (so that on the first day, you'll recognize them and they'll recognize you) and maybe meet some of your new classmates. Go with someone you know - a parent or another student - because conversation is easier if you have some backup. Ask questions about anything at all (what you'll be studying this year, what activities are available, and so on). If your class schedule is available, walk through your entire school day so that you'll know where everything is. Then, on the first day, when everyone else is confused, you'll be able to answer THEIR questions!

you have to have a lot of paper, what to expect is everything is going to be much harder people always say that it is no big deal and if you do this and that you'll get by easily, it's not easy you have to work REALLY hard, the people will call you a scrub for like the first two or three months and they'll hate everything about you because your a scrub, but once the year goes by the older people will eventually open up to you, and the word scrub will be used less often, the school work will still be hard until like the end of the year, i'll give you a warning, once you feel your elementary friends start turning on you they have probably changed for the worse, ignore them and find new friends

Take a deep breath and don't sweat it. At the end of the day you won't remember middle school. High school and college is where the real memories are made.

As soon as you walk into the classroom... go sit next to someone and say hi. There's your first friend.

Don't sweat it. Kids have been starting middle school for ages and none of them have died from it. It is different from elementary, but not that much. You will get used to it and you will do just fine. Remember, alot of other kids are starting middle school at the same time that you are, so you are not unique. There are others who feel just the same way that you do, and they will be just fine too.
