There is no "best", only preferences.
The best is going to be what sounds good to you.
Got to a pro sound shop and grab a listen (some of the better ones have working displays) and see what you like.
I chose Blaupunkt TSw1200 subs in a 4th order Bandpass Bassbox with a Sony Xplōd XM2200GTX.
Amp is 1200 watts (200 watts RMS X2), subs are 600 watts each (200 watts RMS)
Other: Two thermally controlled fans, 4th order Linkwits-Riley Highpass Filter @ 33Hz and cap is 1.5 Farad w/digital read-out
Total cost: $410 (so far)

Clarion Deck - Planet Audio speakers all around - Planet Audio 12" sub - Planet Audio AMP - "Peel & Seal" from Lowes for sound deadening (Same crap as Dynamt or Fatmat just about 1/4 of the price). With that combo it should sound sweet, you get it all highs, mids, and bass. $800.00? might be able to if you can find a speacial on installation somewhere. Shouldn't be much more than $800.00, but hey small price to pay for a clean system.

BUY no name, not brand name when on a budget!!
Put most of the money into your BOX, than AMP, but not the Head Uint nor Speakers!
McIntosh is the best AMP
Focal is the best speakers
But this is only, if you want the TRUEST sound! If you want loud and cheap try MA Audio!

some kicker subs with alpine or kicker amps.
polk subs are also good along with bazooka.
for 3 way spkrs, the best are probably panasonic, pioneer, and alpine.

no such thing as bes sound system. only whats best for you. but i can't give you the whole list.go to crutchfield.com thats perfect for you.
