a real q deserves a real a, not a point grabbing response. everyone is different just like diets. nobody can tell you which diet is for you but a doctor. he can find out what is preventing you from loosing the weight you don't want. therefore he should be able to tell you what will help you achieve your goal. i will say this as my nonprofessional opinion. you cant go wrong with nonpharmaceutical options. (im a naturalist, pharmaceuticals are my last resort)

The Kaiser Diet. It's a 4-day diet put out by Kaiser Hospital that purports to help you lose 10 pounds in 4 days. The most I've ever lost on it was 7, but that's not too shabby. I don't have a copy to give you, but I'm sure if you check the net, or Kaiser in Stockton, CA, you can get it. Good luck!

Try Hydroxycut (ephedrine free) that worked great for me, lost 10 lbs in 2 1/2 wks. The side effects are similar to drinking 2 cups of black coffee per dose plus significant dicrease in appetite. The recommended dose is 2 tabs 3x/day before meals but if the side effects become intolerable, adjust to 1 tab 3x/day before meals. Take the last daily dose atleast 4 hrs before bedtime. Worked great for me, hope it works for you =)

we had an older gentleman who was the Sr. pastor of our church. He was about 72 yrs old, and was having some blood pressure issues. He and his wife were preparing for a cruise off Florida, and were trying to lose some pounds b-4 the trip. He told us this in his sermon, "If it tastes good, ...spit it out." Too much difficulty for me .. AAAnnnd I love the license plate frame that sez, "just hand over the chocolate, and no one gets hurt."
My wife has the best "won't" power I have ever seen..If she really doesn't want to eat it,There's no way she will partake. So I will say that if you have enough won't power, you can reach your goal...Good Luck..

As crazy as this sounds..don't laugh ..lol...I drink a big glass of prune juice every day. I had a paunch of a tummy, which sometimes means you're impacted and need to poop..so I drink this juice everyday and little by little by stomach is getting smaller. I guess one could say I was full of sh*t...Jokes aside..I found that the juice as well as a ton of water, with a lemon squeeze.helps to whittle the weight

Mine is. What do you call healthy food? Most people don't know what is healthy as it's only what they have heard in the media.

I have lost around 60 lbs in 6 months and I will tell you what not to eat. The first myth we have been told is that fat is bad. Sugar and carbohydrate is the big nasty. In fact reduced fat food that has had some fat removed is actually more fattening than the regular food because the removed fat in most cases is replaced with carbs! This is the main reason why you must absolutely stay away from ALL processed food with no exception. Eat fresh and natural.

The other thing you must do is keep your insulin as low as possible by getting sugar and carbs in your diet as close to zero as you can and not having ANYTHING between meals. Also having at least 5 hours between one meal and another. The last meal of the day must be no later than 9pm. Insulin is a hormone that will absolutely block fat and protein burning in your body and force it to burn sugar, that's how it works. You will NOT lose weight with your blood stream flooded with insulin.

You must have at least 8 glasses of water a day, in order for your liver and kidneys to excrete the fat from your body this is crucial.

Now, what you must stay away from and I mean, non at all. Bread, pasta, rice, pastry, sugar, potato, onion, parsnip, sweet potato, pumpkin, beetroot, carrots, peas, spreads like butter and margarine and be very careful of sauces and condiments. Fruit and milk should be taken very, very sparingly because they are fattening. Fruit is full of sugar too, only a very small amount. Avoid all processed food including diet soda it will stimulate insulin. 3 cups of black tea or coffee WITH meals a day is OK.

OK, if you are still with me, what can you eat? In a nutshell you replace the carbs you have removed with protein and green leafy vegetables. Do not mix protein only 1 per meal. This is what you can eat. Lean meat, poultry, fish, cheese, yoghurt and eggs are your permitted proteins. Cauliflower, cabbage, sprouts, broccoli, capsicum, mushroom, celery, zucchini and a small amount of tomato. You can have unlimited amounts of lettuce and cucumber but ONLY at meal times. You can use balsamic vinegar as a dressing; mustard is ok too but only made from the powder. Shop bought is full of sugar! Curry powder in cooking can be used as well. One tablespoon of olive oil is ok per day, in cooking and as a dressing.

I will GUARANTEE if you stick to this you will loose heaps of weight, fast. I know it's not easy and you need the support of your family too.

Just another couple of things I forgot. NO breakfast cereal and avoid really heavy exercise you will just burn glycogen in your muscles, not fat and it will just make you sore and tired. You need prolonged gentle exercise to burn fat like walking. You don't need to exercise at all on this diet as long as you're moving about. Last but not least read food labels and look at the ingredients. Avoid foods like the plague with more than 5 grams of carbohydrate per 100 grams.

Good Luck. Jules, Australia.
