Obviously "real" sex with a minor is illegal....but what about simply doing it over the phone?

Please, no "guesses"....anyone can do that, I want to hear back from people that actually "know" what the hell it is they're talking about. If that isn't asking too much, lol.

Yes it is illegal. Think about it if you cant have cyber sex with a minor why would you be able to do it over the phone. PS Stay Away from the kid You are a nasty pervert. Get someone your own age and if that doesnt work, well just go find a bed and lay in it.

Think about this. Can a minor legally call a sex phone number? No thats why it says 18 years or older. And just because a girl consents to having sex with you if she is a minor and even is she is 17 you can still go to jail.

You want to hear from people who actually know what they're talking about, on a subject that could get you sent to jail if they're wrong, and your asking on Yahoo Answers? Lol!

Also, you didn't say which State you're talking about -- statutory rape laws are State level, so it matters. (You didn't even say which country you're in, I'm assuming the US, but there are plenty of people from other English speaking countries here.) You might also want to look into "contribuiting to the delinquency of a minor"-type laws.

Find your State legal code online, and look through it. Or consult a lawyer.

Phone sex (and also cyber online sex) is illegal with a minor. The reason it is illegal (and I think immoral) is because minor children are not really capable of giving consent. Yes they are able to say yes to the phone sex, but they are considered (by the authorities) to not fully understand all the implications (and dangers) of their actions, and therefore by law are not of legal age of consent. It is considered to be corruption of a minor. Not a good idea.

Sex with a minor is defined as:

A person who commits any lewd or lascivious act upon or with the body of a child, with the specific intent of arousing, appealing to, or gratifying the lust or passions or sexual desires of that person or child.

It depends on the state you live in how literally these things are taken. For the most part, any sexual activty (however innocent it may seem to you) with a minor is damaging and not worth the risk. You risk being labeled as a Sexual Predator or Sexual Offender.

specific. that should remember on the wording of the state statute. For some states, minors underage having intercourse at any age is a contravention of statutes, yet customarily, it fairly is the two no violation, a lesser offense violation or a contravention with an affirmative protection if 3 or 4 3 hundred and sixty 5 days age distinction..

Probably not-- especially if you ever have the intention of ever meeting them. And especially if you know that they are underage. Just think of the nightlines where they use the internet to bust sexual predators-- these guys only chat with someone they think is underage and then meet up with them. I think actually talking to someone would be worse.

I should think not! You bring images in that minors head, images, that are not for them yet. And the talk alone about something, can bring you closer to acting it out. And bring you in trouble.
