What do you think that Congress is finally going to deliver on the immigration issue, or will the states have to pick up their slack?

I think I'll believe it when I see it and... I think there will be a lot of heads rolling in November because nobody has seen anything yet.

I think - great! :) Most of us love immigrants since most of us came from immigrant families at one time or another - but LEGAL immigrants! I wish people only came into our country legally and did things the right way so that we wouldn't have to worry about terrorists sneaking in or illegal immigrants sneaking across the border and costing us millions of tax dollars in health care and other costs without adding back to the tax-base. I have no idea if Congress will actually address AND finance the issue but I do hope so.

What do I think? I think I will believe it when I see it.. the government does not wish to change the immigration practises as they are.. why? because they see votes in the illegal population.. how they think that the illegals will vote for them is anyone's guess, but that is what they think.. always of the voter base.. yet they seem to forget that the real voter base is hard working, LEGAL Americans who are growing more and more discomfited with this outrageous lack of control over our own country.

When I hear "immigration reform," the first thing that comes to my mind is the flagrant violation of our existing laws on immigration by millions of illegal immigrants. The second thing that I associate with that phrase is a group of lawmakers trying to accomodate the illegals by passing a law that will grant citizenship to all of them.

It makes me think of the lie told repeatedly by President Vicente Bush. "comprehensive immigration reform"

I suppose he thinks that everyone has the low IQ that he has. He thinks that we are going to believe that crap and everyone knows that it's just another phrase for amnesty.

Seems pretty obvious that our government isn't doing anything. I hope each state starts doing something to get rid of illegal immigrants.
