There is no such thing as normal. There exists percentile charts to chart your child's growth. Talk with your pediatrician to make sure he is growing properly (height and weight), but my guess is that you should be happy he is healthy since otherwise your Dr would have said something by now. Don't feel bad, my son is tall for his age too, he's in the 75-80% for his age group for height and weight.

Some children spurt up fast as toddlers, by the time the child reaches 5 years of age, they may stop growing for awhile, and besides, how tall are the parents, parents?

There is truly no normal for a child. They all grow at different rates. Just like all people are different, so are all children. Be happy your child is healthy and don't worry about anything else. My daughter is really tiny. She's just in the 9th percentile for both height and weight. I'm happy she is healthy though.

i do not think so. My son is 10 months and is 29" tall. He might be 6' tall when he gets older who knows
