From dust we come & to dust we return...(the Bible)...That indicates to me that the physical body does not go to heaven, but returns from whence it came. However, we do have a spiritual body...and the spiritual body lives forever. I am convinced of that because my spirit left my body once during surgery...I could see what was going on but could not hear (maybe there was nothing to hear). Then & I don't remember this, but I returned to my body...as evidenced by the fact that I am still alive.
As far as Christians are concerned, I am a Christian & find that Christians have about as many thoughts about Christianity as there are people. The bottom line is that no one person or denomination or religion has all the answers. God is too BIG for us to possibly understand all about Him. Just accept that HE IS & let it go. He will lead you to truth & understanding in His own time & in His own way.
If you are really interested in what St. Paul has to say about this...Read in the Bible 1st Corinthians 15: 35 - 53. Perhaps that will help you to understand a little better. What you do not understand, put on a little shelf in your mind (so to speak) until you receive fuller understanding. That will happen, but probably not all at once. It is a growing process. Much love, Nala

Church dogma does say that Jesus rose to Heaven body and soul. The only three other people do this were Moses, Elijah and the Virgin Mary. This does explain why his body was no longer in the tomb. Heaven is considered to be a physical place that is merely part of another plane of existence which is why we cannot see it now. As for the bodies in Heaven, it is debated between the various sects of Christianity whether judgment comes at death or on Judgment Day, the most common belief being the latter. However even if this is true, Jesus would not be alone because he would be accompanied by angels.
yada yada yada...
Hope that helps.

The answer to that is no. Apart from the mission of salvation, Christ was to experience the human condition. Meaning that in agreement with the Christian doctrine, Jesus needed to go through all the experiences that we as humans go through in order for us to call ourselves brothers. Thus his body was to return to the dust just like it says in the bible.
Also according to the bible, the body is only a vessel for the soul which is the only thing that matters. So the physical state of the body is only a passing state.
This is all based on Christian doctrine

Ok first off, when you say "when Christ was resurrected", lets clarify something. The word resurrection means to come back from the dead. When Jesus came back from the dead, he walked, talked, existed on Earth for 40 more days. Then he ASCENDED to heaven. So if he was walking and talking, basically being alive, I find it hard to believe that his body went to Heaven considering He was kind of using it here on earth.

specific, Christians have faith that. Muslims have faith that the spirit and physique stay in the grave, and the sinful get style of hell till Judgement Day and the rightful get a style of Heaven till Judgement. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, each and every lifeless physique is raised from the graves and ascend into the Heavens for Judgement. there'll be th eternal verdicts of each and every being, one via one.

Jesus was resurrected body and spirit, but as flesh and blood can not enter heaven, His body was glorified. And we, as carnally minded flesh and blood humans, it is hard for us to understand just what that glorified condition is. But someday we will know.

Then by one Spirit (Notice) we're all baptized into one body. And as that body was raised up by God, resurrected from the dead, justified, setting at His right hand in power and majesty in heaven, so them that are dead in Christ, are in Christ, and free from judgment, and will come forth in the resurrection. But see now, He Himself, the body, Jesus Christ, is setting at the right hand of God in heaven. God tore Him apart, the royal Seed of Abraham, and took the Life out of Him, and raised up the Body, up to sit on His throne in Heaven, and sent back the Spirit of Him upon the Church, that the Church has to have the same Spirit was in Christ to make it come together, making Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. There is a heaven, and there's a literal Jesus Christ there that'll come in a body form to receive His church and His Bride! Now the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Who appeared on the earth in the form of a Man, the Son of God, Jesus Christ, Who suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, buried, rose the third day, and ascended into heaven where He now sets at the right hand of the Majesty, sending back the Spirit that was upon Him, called the Holy Spirit, to come upon mankind, to fellowship, to carry on the ministry that was carried on in that glorious body of Christ...Now, what God is showing is this: that how God took Jesus to the Calvary and tore Him apart, and received the body up into heaven, and sent the Spirit down upon us, that the same Spirit was on Him has to be on you to dovetail with the Body, to be the Bride at the end time.

hmm well as you might have read in the bible if you read it , after Jesus was resurrected , his body wasn't ready and he was seen by Mary Magdalene in a different body , therefore i believe his spirit was in another body until his heavenly body was ready . and in heaven we do not have the same body we had on earth , in fact we will have a new heavenly body and a new name in heaven. our bodies we have now were created specifically for this earth and when we die so does our earthly body

When Jesus was Bodily Resurrected from the grave he had a GLORIFIED BODY that will Never Die.
When Jesus comes back in the air and catches up his BRIDE or
Born of God believers they to will receive a body like Jesus has.[just
think NO more sickness,No more death and we will be living forever
with Jesus who died for us so we could live forever with HIM]
Notice Jesus does Not return to earth when this happens Jesus
stops in the air and we are caught up to be with Him. 1Th 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1Th 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
When this World goes completely out of control and the WRATH OF GOD FALLS everybody that has truly trusted Jesus to save them will
NOT BE ON EARTH. God has saved us from the wrath to come.
1Th 1:9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
1Th 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
Give me Jesus any DAY come quickly Lord Jesus!
In Christ in Love,
