I've heard that using a mirror helps but I dont use that trick.
If they are well lubricated and your eye is too, just hold your eyes open with your pointer finger and thumb (pointer on top eye lid, thumb on lower eye lid) as wide as you can get it and put your contact on the end of your finger and gently place it on your eye.
Slowly let your eye relax and blink a few times to get it situated.
To remove them, use the thumb pointer finger tactic vut use the same two fingers on the opposite hand to "pinch" the contact our (just grab and pull the contact out of your eye).

well first of all wash your hands, thats very important! then, put some eye drops in your eye to make them wet, you might also want to try to clean the lenses if u have trouble putting them in, because the wetness will make it easier for them to stick. if your a rightie, put the contact on your index finger, and hold the bottom eyelid down with the middle finger, and with your left hand hold the top eyelid up, but make sure u grab your eyelashes as u do that, if not then they might get in the way, and if your a leftie, then do everything opposite. look up and place the contact on your eye and when it sticks, try not to blink right away! most of the time blinking right away will make the contact slide back out, so keep holding your eyes open, and look around until u feel like the contact is stuck on your eye. then close your eyes and gently press your eyelid to make it stick better. once u open your eyes, if u still feel a slight discomfort from the contacts, put in a couple more eyesdrops. try this and be patient! good luck...oh and there are also cases when u have to get a specific size contact for your eyes, because the standard size doesnt fit u, but that isn't too common but if that your case, your eye doctor should measure your eye to see...

im sure everyone has different methods of putting in/ taking out contacts, I personally, use my middle fingertip slide my contact to the inner side of my eye, closest to my nose, then it kinda folds and It comes out on my fingertip. Make sure your fingers are wet with your contact solution, Never use water, as it has tiny particles in it,
Putting them in I stare straight ahead, and use my middle fingertip to hold the contact, and using myindex fingertip for the upper lid, and my ring fingertip for the lower lid, open my eye up and place the contact in. at first I would do like the Eye professionals told me, but I would have troubles getting the contact in, so with practice, of different methods, I came to the one mentioned, that was easier to put in and take out.
the only thing I can say to make it easier is practice practice practice, after a week or so, you will be able to put them in and take them out in less then 5 seconds.
good luck.

Oh my, I can put my contacts in and take them out faster than anyone I know! No one understands how I can do it.
I just put the contact on the tip of my index finger and gentley pull down underneath my eye with my middle finger and pop it onto my eyeball!
And to get it out, I just do what the eye doctor told me. I use the TACO METHOD. Just grab the contact and pinch it like a taco. It just comes right out.

Put a couple drops of saline in them.
Also when you are looking in the mirror to put them in / out, look PAST your eye, not at it. Maybe easier to describe as a zoning out gaze.
It does get easier -- I've been wearing them for years.

I always exhale. If I hold my breath... I can't get my contacts in, but exhaling a deep breath works every time.
