O.k it depends on how much you have crush on him..if you just thought a lot...Well try something different like
1.investigate what does he like to do, then "surprisely" talk about the book he likes to read, like "Hey how are u, how is it going...you dont have an idea of the book im reading im eager to go back home" Unless his an alien he wont ask you which book. Apply the same strategy for any thing he likes.
2. You can use the typical when he ask you how are u? Obviously everyone answers "im O.k", well your a woman and can say "im sorry not that well...you know my fish died...work is awful...my car brake down" and then after you tell him all your problems, tell him something like "Im sorry i swear im not like this, but you just inspire so much trust".
3. You also can be "natural" like "hey I'm thirsty will you like a cup of coffe in Starbucks?"
4. The "teenager".. I dont know why this one works but it works, probably because we men never grow up...So you can tell him something like "Look the bracelet my boyfriend gave me..." childish but works, we men like to have the "forbidden stuff"
5. O.k this is a risky one...you can ask him if he has a girlfriend..wether he saids yes or no, your answer will be "Oh i know a friend to whom you will match a lot". If his interested plan a fake date with your best lesbian friend (obviously she knows your intentions).

I would like a girl to get my attention by asking for my number, believe it or not, dudes like it when the lady asks first. If the guy asks why, just make up an exuse to call him. Remeber, guys are less likely to reject a womans request than a woman rejectes a mans request.

With me and my crush i just ask him questions about his life and whats going on. He can get the hint i like him but also not feel i'm coming on too strong....then he can open up and get to know you better by asking the same questions.
