In Photoshop, you go into Image/Mode and select Grayscale.
It asks if you want to discard color info, and you say Yes.
The pic is now converted to Black and White!
Other good photo editing software could do something similar to make the conversion. check your documentation.

Any photo editing software worth having will have an option somewhere to change color to grayscale. If you only need to do it to one picture I believe Adobe has 30 day trials of Photoshop for free.

If you're gonna print it out, I know you can change the settings in 'options' or "preferences" to print color images in black and white.
As for saving and burning/uploaded it that way, I dont' know...Maybe someone else knows how to do that.

In your photo software just convert to greyscale.
