My dog is on thyroid medicine and now he itches real bad plus seems to be shedding more than normal. Anyone else with this same situation? Opinions needed!

You may have to retest so they can adjust the dosage. I had a hypothyroid dog once and they tested her about 2 times before we got the proper dosage and then we tested again every 6 months. If you have a holistic vet, I would ask about supplementing with kelp. We supplemented our girl with kelp and it helped immensly and we were able to cut her dosage of soloxine by a lot.
For the itching/shedding, I would also try some fish oil/omega 3's.

You may need a retest to make sure the medication is at the right dosage!!!!!
