Hi. It's not bad if you go after 30 min - 1 hour you eat. Why? When you eat, the digestive system needs a large amount of blood and circulation to make digestion of food. If you go to swim on the beach or pool, the water cool off the skin. It's cause the blood leave the digestive system and emigrate to the periphery, causing pain, and cramps in the gastrointestinal system.

After you eat your body uses energy to digest the food and therefore if you get stuck in a sticky situation where you must swim quickly or for a long period of time (emergency situation) then your body will tire quickly. I guess cramping could occurr..but I know for a fact that it is a bad idea because your body will tire more quickly if you swim within 30 minutes after eating.
