The birth of Israel (the nation of Hebrew people) began with Abraham, and his covenant with God.
Abraham lived before Moses-- and Jacob was a descendant.
Abraham beget Isaac
Isaac beget Jacob.
(Jacab beget Joseph... la la blah-ha...)
So the answer is A - The Nation of Israel =)

Birth of Jacob. He was one of the "fathers." His story is mentioned in Genesis (25:19), and Moses' story isn't told until Exodus (2:1). The nation of Israel happened a bit later, once the "fathers" could build enough families to be called the "children of Israel."

if we take it historically (chronologically):
1) B. birth of Jacob
2) C. death of Moses
3) A. the nation of Israel (which came last due to the fact it was after world war II when the nation Israel was established)

the order goes B, A, C.
(1) ~Jacob was born~, then God changed his name to "Israel"
(2) Jacob (now Israel)'s descendants became ~the nation of Israel~ while in slavery in Egypt.
(3) Moses led them out of Egypt, and then ~died~ years later.
