After 3 years of switching dog food-each one more expensive than the last- and several expensive vet visits to check for illness or intestinal blockage, etc. My dog still had gas that could make a skunk cry. One day I noticed that my small dog had a much different eating style that my big gassy Lab. The little guy ate one or two kibbles at a time, and chewed each one before going back for more. Little guy hardly ever has gas. Big boy just dives head first into the bowl of food. Chews a whole mouthful a few times and doesn't stop until the food is gone. In desperation I called a pet food store and asked what on earth? The man I spoke to asked if I had my dog examined by a vet-yes a-ok there. Then he asked if my dog is a food gulper, and described his eating style. Yep, that's him! This is what he told me to do. Put a brick-or half a brick- into his food bowl. Put his dry food around the brick, but not covering it. This makes the dog slow down, and use his tongue to lift out one or two kibbles at a time instead of mouthfuls. Add a little water if the dog is hungry now, and plans to eat his food right away. Soggy kibble is nasty. The added water helps the dog digest the dry food. It's been 2 weeks now, and the gas problem is almost completely gone! Needless to say, the brick and bowl need to been washed daily as pieces of moist kibble go under the brick. Small price to pay for the relief this has brought to me and my dog. Try it, and good luck!

Great dog food! It won't normally give a dog gas. But if it's a Boxer or a Bulldog or a Pug, they'll get bad gas no matter what you feed them!

it may be a sign that the dog food he's currently eating is not agreeing with him...or sometimes they will get that way if you change brands on them. If it's really bad, try out another brand, giving it a week or two - and see if he's less gassy.

No they have upset stomachs like we do, dont it feel better when you fart?????????
The dog needs to fart too, just make sure, when your dog is farting your not near the fart, or you'll feel as though your gonna throw up.
Or as a gag gift to someone in the house, kneel down to the dogs butt and catch his fart and say to someone in the house you want them to smell the new perfume in your hand, slowly open your palm of hand to the persons nose, and let that fart explore their nostrils

Depends on what your dog has eaten. Broccoli causes bad gas, fish causes bad gas, If you are really worried call your vet.

WELL NO ITS NATURAL FOR THEM TO STINK THEIR JUST LIKE A HUMAN BEING. WE STINK WHEN WE HAVE GAS TOO. BUT MAYBE IT DEPENDS ON WHAT U R GIVING IT TO EAT. TRY NOT GIVING HIM/HER REGULAR FOOD. WELL I GIVE MY DOG PEDIGREE DOG FOOD. AND IF IT DOESNT WORK WELL TRY ASKING A VET!
