If you're a guy-- YES PLEASE, long hair on men is so gross and outdated.
If you're a girl, you may want to look into a trim. A deep conditioning treatment sounds like it's in order, too!

The best thing about a hair disaster is that hair eventually grows back. I know you're tempted to buzz it off and start all over again, but don't be too hasty unless you like the look and feel of a buzz cut. You'll be feeling stubble before you feel soft virgin hair for a while. Why not use some intensive conditioners on your hair to soften it up? Frequent shampooing, like every day in the shower, followed by conditioning treatments, will eventually fade the hair color. Then as it grows out, you can keep trimming it until the bad dye job is history. But like I said, if you like the buzz cut, then by all means, buzz away! Good luck to you.

nope because you will miss more than the feeling of soft hair,you will miss the swish...you know what i mean? also the weight of it. if you love your hair long and you cut it off you may not like the way it changes your face when it is short. i would try a hot oil treatment or a put on dry cream rinse to get the softness back.. but if these don't work for you then by all means cut it off .. go to a salon that does donations for kids with out hair like locks of love..i know there are others, but this is the one i send my hair to when i get tired of its length.

If you are a guy and your hair grows fast I would say buzz it. It will grow back nice and soft and healthier. Wish I could do the same but I'm a chick and don't have the face for bald.

I think you meant 3", right? Three FEET would be waaaayyyyy too long. I definitely say, "GO FOR THE BUZZ". That's a totally hot look, and it makes chicks want to feel your head!

Cut it off. I did it and it sure feels better and makes the days easier. Three feet long, donate it to locks for love.
