If you mention any remotely religious topic in a chatroom, it's instant swearing, ridicule, etc. Why are people so intimidated by Jesus?

Because its the Name Above all names ...and no other name is given that men can be saved By...You either Hate the Name are you Love the name , Isnt it funny how people can bad mouth all day about God but as soon as you say Praise The LORD your cramming religion down there throat , Its in a mans heart that they know there is a GOD and his name is JESUS

I firmly beleive that people picked on christianity because they feel it is another religion but this one wants to tell them how to live their lives.Christianity is not a religion it's a everyday life and Jesus wants to be a part of that so they are intimadated by him. Common let me do what I want 6 days just take 1 day that what they're actually saying but it's the best way since having Jesus helps people to have better perpectives of life so that it

I don't know if I would agree that it is the most picked on religion, but you have a good point.
People have been fearful of this for a long time. Just remember, some of those who ridicule the worst are in denial, yearning to be close to Him but have had a rough road so far. Stay strong, rely on Christ, and everything will work out as planned. :)

My question is why do christians act like I am purposely trying to offend them and therefore come in and so many make rude remarks and taunt me when I ask questions about Jesus that I am just curious about? I think belittling people brings about the hatred towards christianity. Not saying all do, but too many.

Jesus said somewhere, If you were of the world, the world would love it's own. But you are not of the world, for I have taken you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
I confess that I don't understand it completely. But Jesus said why right there. Since that is so, I guess I got my ride and the world can sink all it wants to. As for me, I'm going up!

the word says we are a peculiar people. Not only that but, we are people of the light - the non- chirstians don't want to come to the light, the stay in the dark, for fear that their evil deeds will be exposed. Nothing grows in the dark. Just realize that it is persecution, rejoice sister, Jesus was persecuted, so will we.

I don't think it's Jesus that scares people. I think it's the portion of "Christians" (I call this portion bible-thumpers) that use the religion to express hate and intolerance for anyone different from them. This portion also thinks it's alright to harass people about religion, and no one likes being harassed. Many people are constantly on their guard for these types of "Christians".

They arn't intimidated by Jesus. They just don't like all the lies christanity has made up about Jesus.
Most of them would love the real Jesus.

Christians have two things in common with EVERY faith on earth.
1) They are the only ones who really know the truth.
2) Nobody has been persecuted as much as they have.
