I'm 12 years old, and I'm cutting my hair and donating it to Locks of Love (it's my 2nd time doing this). I have to give 10 inches at least, but I want to keep my hair at least right below my ears. If anyone has ideas for a short hair cut or web sites, i'll take any help I can get!

stacked in the back, short bob, with it getting longer in the front. This style will be no longer than your ears on the sides a little longer in the front and very short in the back. This way you still can pull it behind your ears. Since you are 12, try cartoon cuts. They are great and have a web site. Good job!

do something where there are bangs up to your ears and cut high in the back. I saw that on several girls and thought it looked very sexy. What ever you choose, make sure the style fits your face and texture of hair.
Its great what you are doing. Not only for the fact that your helping others but you sound like you are caring at such a young age. I hope more young people on this site follows your lead.

I've done Locks of Love several times now--cut it short; grow it long. It depends upon your hair type to know what cut is best. I like to cut mine in kind of like a shag--short layers everywhere--because it seems to grow out easier that way. Just tell your hairstylest if you want to be able to put it in a ponytail because that seems to be an important length to consider.

FYI: They have a magazine called Short Hairstyles. You can find it at Barnes & Noble or other large book stores. That should give you some ideas.
