He was probably the best boxer amateur or not I ever saw.He would have probably killed Ali,had he been allowed to fight him.Power speed and skill.He had them all.

He would have lost to Ali, Frazier, and Foreman either by knockout or decision. He would have been a contender and a very formidable opponent and beat most of the other fighters though not easily because there were a lot of good fighters during that particular era.

Bob Arum tried to get him to turn pro, but he has been blinded by Castro's talk. anyway, he was great as an amateur but remember he lost his last couple of fights also (to Felix Savon)......he did not have the stamina to last past 3/4 rounds, so a good fighter would beat rather easy
