I guess it is an unconditional love. Like the love you get from a pet is. No matter what time you get home, no matter who/what you smell like, and no matter what you did your pet still loves you. I do stupid things. I used to beat myself up for that wondering why I did it. Finally I stepped back and looked at all the stupid things everyone else does. $hit! I'm a Saint compared to the people that not only run this Country but run other Countries.
To answer your question: loving yourself means that you accept yourself for who you are and what you do. You may not always make the right choices but hey, we're all human. Acknowledge you are not perfect but do your best to follow the path that is in your heart and head. If you make a mistake, oh well! Tomorrow will always come with new opportunities to make things right....or wrong. Then the next day comes.....It's a never ending cycle.
Find what makes you happy and do it. Once you are truly happy you can and will love yourself.

Loving yourself means learning how to be happy in the here and now. Learning to accept yourself for who you are and never wishing to look or be like someone else. Loving yourself means taking time to understand your faults and learning to change them for the better just because you want to be a better person for yourself. When you truly love yourself someone who loves you just as much will enter your life. You attract what you deliver.

It means focusing on the things you like about yourself; knowing your strengths and building on them. It also means understanding that everyone has weaknesses and accepting the fact that you cannot and will never be perfect.
When you love yourself, you view both your strengths and weaknesses as an asset. They set you apart from others while also causing you to depend on others and for them to depend on you. If we were all perfect and able to do everything, then we would not need each other.
To begin loving yourself, use your strengths to benefit others within your community. When you see yourself through their eyes, you will be able to see how wonderful you really are.

Self-love - okay, I think I know what that means, maybe....... Yes - I love myself whether I'm giving myself "self-love" or not - and I am the only participant in the room, however, I have had some long-distance assistance from a close friend.

it means appreciating who you are, knowing that you are special, and doing nothing harmful to yourself. Both physical and mental. for me, loving myself is standing strong to my beliefs and not letting others corrupt my mind, heart, and body.
