Who else is pissed that OLN didn't have Phil Ligget do the final call for Floyd's Finish? I love Al Trautwig, but they guy had nothing to say or add.

Phil Ligget and Co did the call live in the morning (live). I don't know why they'd change it for prime time--to me, Phil is the voice of the Tour de France. No one expected Floyd to win and everyone had pretty much written him off for the Tour. So perhaps they decided to re-dub the commentary after they knew the results.
As for coverage generally, OLN simply relays and provides commentary for the European broadcast feed--they don't have their own cameras and helicopters.
Also, Floyd Landis is so fast and nimble on his descent that the motorcycle camera at times couldn't keep up, limiting OLN to helicopter shot on portions of the descents.

The coverage on OLN has been terrible.Today the American Floyd LAndis has done a superb thing and OLN managed to not show how he escaped from the peloton.Al Troutwig is an idiot who thinks that because he as a deep voice , everything he said must be profound.He knows nothing about the sport.The other idiot American is kind of a goof but he makes no apologies for it so he is OK.What I do id TiVo the live broadcast in the morning and i watch it at night so I don't have to listen to al troutwig. Also who thinks they go to break at the worst moments?

OLN really needs to go out of business, the coverage of the Tour de France has been terrible. Trautwig tries to be the jack of all trades, he's done Tennis for USA (not that well, I might add); Arena Football (even worse), and now Cycling (real real, bad). He's trying to be like Dick Enberg, who actually does a lot of sports commentating very well...an believe me Trautwig's no Enberg.....that's for sure.
OLN Hockey coverage was terrible too.....

It's simple - tape the live coverage in the morning. Phil and Paul do that.
After the stage ends, they edit it for length, and Trautwig and Roll do a voice-over in the editing booth.

quite some human beings are, yet they can both stand with Obama or stand antagonistic to him and added divide the country. Obama is keen to assist and sacrifice for each person no longer only his followers. Realistically all of us want a similar issues, how we go about getting them is the position we variety (tax cuts/breaks etc.) Being pissed solves and does no longer some thing yet upload to the negativity and separatism of your united states of america.

Yeah, I was wondering where Phil was myself. I enjoyed Bob though, even if he is a bit too melodramatic. Maybe he just had the day off???

I think the announcing is pretty good. But I am tired of the same Saab and V W commercials over and over again.
