There's support for illegal immigration by groups that don't want to see the laws enforced. What's your view?

20 years ago, I called the INS on our problem here in Arkansas, actually, at that time it wasn't even a problem yet. The Immigration Department head told me never to call back (I was calling back every few days as no one would speak to me, I was getting passed around). When I finally got the Department Head, he told me there was "no problem" and that I needed to mind my own business and to leave them alone. We are now the #1 growing state in the U.S. for the Hispanic population, and you know what? I welcome them. Let's face it, they've been coming for over 200 years without let up and the U.S. hasn't fallen yet, if anything they've helped us grow stronger as a nation. I applaud their good works and hope they can find refuge here and get the help they need to find the american dream of helping their families. God bless'em.

P.S., The Immigration Department was exposed almost a year later by the State Police Department, when they (the Police) called them to come get a van load of Illegal aliens and the INS wouldn't do it). So there was alot of newpaper and television exposure over that, it felt good to see.

They should go home to their own country and hold the rallies there. If they don't think those laws should be enforced then none of our laws should be enforced and our police should just shoot them down. Can't have it both ways. If they want to live here, then they should go back to Mexico and come into the country legally, learn the language and work towards citizenship. That's the way it's done. No other way is acceptable.

My view is to enforce current laws. That is part of what I expect when I pay taxes.

Support for illegal immigration is absurd and is an insult to those who come to the U.S. legally. It makes a mockery of our system, and amazingly, our government has permitted this to occur for so long.

Well if they are legal, whatever. If they get there way I will assume the position of grabbing my ankles and try to enjoy taking it up my a$$ yet again. I am so sick of this constant bitching. I have hope that more Hazeltons and ppl like Sheriff Joe will spring up, yet again after such rallies.

Its amazing to me that people can come to this country and expect to live tax-free while the legal citizens have no choice! Then they have the audacity to rally??? I'll save the rest of my thoughts.

What do you call a bunch of mexicans holding hands??

A spicket fence.

The word "Chicano" is both racist and condescending. Don't expect others to use politically correct terms if you do not use them.
I am not slamming you. I'm just trying to point out that you, like everyone else, uses terms that are intended to be harmless yet are misinterpreted. Thanks.
