5'2", I went from size 12 to a size 5. Yet everyone I know keep making comments like I should regain the weight or gain a little bit more. I feel comfortable with my body now and I have a little confidence now. I dont want to gain any weight or lose any more.
What should I do? listen to loved ones and gain some weight or listen to myself and try to keep myself healthy? I wish that they could see that I am happy with myself now...

I am the only one with a slim and muscular body, out of all of my friends and family. Whether I am 10lbs heavier or 10 lbs lighter.

However, when I gain 10 pounds, (beer) people judge and criticize me, (tell me I am getting fat) and when I lose 10 pounds (no beer) people judge and criticize me (tell me I am anorexic).
And these remarks come from my own family and best friends.
People are born to judge and criticize, to anybody who makes a change in their life, because they are not making any changes in their own life.
You need to do what you think is best for you, and don't let people influence your decisions, in any way.
You could.
Be nice and say "Thank you, but I like myself the way I am".
Or be mean and say "Worry about your own F-ing self".
Good Luck.

I think the reason your family is so concious about your weight is because you either lost it too quickly or even at a size 5 you look too thin to them. When I started losing weight I lost a lot quickly and my mom thought I was anorexic, this may be the same case.

Try to ease your family's speculations by talking about these things.

Be happy with yourself and enjoy your new outlook. Just remembr losing weight is a lifestyle change, keep being healthy.

god bless

I think they are just used to seeing you a certain way. Now that your body has changed, they may feel they don't "know" you anymore. They may be feeling uncomfortable with the new you. Also, you have gained self-confidence, that slight alteration in your personality may be throwing them off as well.

Give them time to adjust. Go out of your way to show them that you are still the same person they knew before you lost the weight. Get together with them frequently and show a genuine interest in their lives. They'll soon adjust and accept you as you are now, healthy and happy.

If you say that everybody is making comments, then you shouldn't look that great. I hope that you don't look tired or sick. Is your skin sagging? Do you look older now? You should also realized that they were used to see the other you. That happened to me too two years ago, but I just care about what I think about myself. I don't waste my time trying to please those around me. I don't advice you to regain your weight. Remember, the most important is if you feel energetic and look healthy. If you are happy about your change, then who cares what other people have to say?

Size 12 is actually smaller than the national average of 14/16. Size five is not actually socially acceptable in most instances. As long as you eat healthy foods (and often) don't worry about it. Stress will kill you faster than anything else.

If you are healthy and not trying to lose more, then I say, they might be jealous. They will have to get to know the real you. One with confidence and a lovely appearance. Be healthy and live happy.

They are being jealous or they are concerned about how thin you could be. It is OK if you are healthy and you feel healthy, you listen to yourself, but if you are too thin, you need to try to see a physician and see if you are an anorexia.

Dude, can you please tell me how did you lose weight because i am the same height as you are but i am in the size 18. Please share your information on how you did that.

this happened to me. my dad said i was too skinny when i dropped 40 pounds in 6 months. this was a big discouragement and I gained 55 pounds back. Don't listen to what anyone else says, go with your gut, it's yours for heavens sacks not anyone elses. Do what makes you happy.
