I never know if you jerks think this type of sick stuff is funny or if it is the truth. Docking tails is soon to be outlawed as is docking ears because it is inhumane, even if a vet does it.

All you are doing is creating an infection that could kill the puppy.
When the tail is docked by a vet, it is done when the puppy is about 3 days old before there is cartilage formed.
That puppy has got to be in a lot of pain. I have seen dogs that fools like you have done. If the pup survives the infection, he/she might not ever be able to sit down right. He/she will sit on the side because that pain is always there. If they run into something or playing with another dog/human and the tail gets hit, they feel pain.

Do NOT translate this post into me agreeing with tail docking of ANY method but, this is not him trying to torture his dog. Tail docking using a rubberband used to be a way that people would dock tails. They would put the rubberband around the tail until the tip died and then cut it off. It is very inhumane and most agree that it should not be done any more on dogs. Sadly, it is still used on other animals. In conclucion, take the rubberband off now (not "first thing in the morning") and see a vet asap to see if you did permanent damage to the tail in which case the vet may need to dock it.

That is horrible! I had a pitbull and took it and had it tail docked professionally. You are cruel. How would you like it if someone put a rubberband around your penis until it fell off?! People like you make me sick! Dogs and all animals have feelings too!! If you can't afford to do things the right way, you should have got a dog that needs this type of maintenence!!!

My stupid redneck boyfriend told me that if the tail was not docked the dog would die, so I believed him. He said if I didn't take the dog to the vet, he would do it with a kitchen knife himself. Anyway, since then, my views on this have changed, and I do find it cruel, but I think if someone is hellbent on doing it, at least they should take it to a professional, instead of using a rubberband like our genius friend here that asked this stupid question.

Stupid, the only thing that a rubber band around it's tail will get you is a raging infection, and a dead dog, or a severly injured dog with an open infected wound. No you need to take it off now!!! that is so cruel, if you get caught which I hope you do, you will go to jail for animal cruelty. Why don't you put a rubber band around your balls for three days and see what your dog went though. and you need to take it to a vet because if it gets infected, it can kill the dog and the dog can suffer and be very painful. Can you tell I am very pist off by this. That poor dog is in pain,and you want to wait til tomorrow you don't deserve to have a dog or any other pet!

OH my goodness. What are you, a five year old kid? Don't do that! Dogs who have shortened tails usually have them removed by the vet. That is sooooo cruel. Take the rubberband off....put some cream on the tail so that it doesn't get infected. Then take a rolled up newspaper and beat yourself!!

Just to stupid for words. Give the dog to some one who will take care if it in the right ways. Wrap a rubber band around you finger and leave it there and see how it feels. Then maybe you will stop hurting your dog.
