If they agree to hezbollahs terms they would only be causing more problems. If you give in to terrorists they will only demand more, that is how they operate. They prey on the weak and if Israel were to show weakness, they would only demand more. These people have no honor and do not respect the rules of war that is why Israel is setting an example here by showing force and power to these cowards in order to let the terrorists know they will not get what they want and our captured troops honor is worth going to war over. Go Israel, get rid of as many cowards as you can. Do you agree? Or you can share your own opinion.

Time and time again Israel has tried to make peace with its neighbors, by giving into their demands. Israel just wants to live in peace and quiet. This is why Israel withdrew from Southern Lebanon in 2000 and from Gaza last year.

These withdrawals have only led to violence. In the north, Hizbollah has amassed a large arsenal of weapons in Israel's absence, that it is now shooting down onto Israel. Gaza has become a terrorist haven. As soon as Israel withdrew the began further attacking Israel. The 'palestinian' culture is one of hatred and violence - and cannot exist without it. The cannot accept peace, and won't allow it to happen.

"Palestinians" were a people created in the last century solely for the purpose of waging a campaign of violence against Israel. 50 -75 years ago the term "palestinian" meant Jew, but today the local Arabs have coined themselves 'palestinian' and have created a culture of hatred and violence. These are values taught to young children in schools. Peace and tolerance are not taught.

Israel has movements such as "shalom achshav" that preach peace at any cost. These groups are free to criticize the Israeli at any time. Why is there no Arab version of "shalom achshav".

Througout history, every Israeli overture of peace has resulted in more violence. In 1947 / 48 Israel agreed to a 2 state solution. The Arabs response was War. In 1993 the Oslo accords began the handing of autonomous power to the 'palestinians'. This lead to an increase in regular suicide bombings. Buses all over Israel were bombed on a regular basis. In 2000 Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak agreed to give to the palestinians 97% of the land Israel captured in the 1967 war from Jordan and Egypt (not Including the Sinai that was already given away). The 'palestinians' did not accept this. They were offered a state, and they said NO! Their response - the second Intifada. Finally, last year Israel withdrew fro Gaza, this resulted in IMMEDIATE violence, including the daily bombing of Sderot and Ashkelon, in addition to the more recent kidnapping of an Israeli soldier.

In summary, Israel offers peace, arabs respond with violence. To me, this justifies military action. Israel already attempted diplomacy and good will. This was flat out rejected. The arabs want a war, and now they have one.

Israel needs to root out these 2 terrorist organizations, and make the WORLD a safer and better place to live.

I hate how the media is looking at Israel as the bad guy and hezbastard and Hama** ,these bi&#h a** thugs and Iran and Syria, their sorry a**es pulling the strings, as victums. For example they focus more on the deaths of the Lemonese(I not saying that isn't bad but this is WAR and they brought it apoun themselves, allowing hezbully to stay and arm itself even after a UN resolution on ending them) then why Israel is attacking. Do not listen to the busted up countries against Israel and the damn corrupted U.N because they are cowards and have no idea what is the real threat in the world.

I hope lsrael kill as much terrorist as this war last because these lslamo-fascist do not want peace. And yes I think Israel's self defence is justifed.

Maybe if when Israel gave up the Gaza Strip they should have allowed those there to go into and out of it so they could get to their jobs etc. instead of setting it up like a P.O.W. camp the way that they did That is part of what has the people doing these attacks all bent out of shape while I do not agree with their ta tics I can see what brought it about. Both warring factions need to recognize the other and get serious about a peaceful solution to the problems they have and work out a solution that is beneficial to all parties involved

I totally agree with you! Did you hear about what Hezbollah is doing now? They're setting up road blocks to keep the Lebansese people from fleeing to safety. In other word's they're hiding behind the innocent as shields. Aint that just like one of these cowards? Also, they're now bragging that Syria has, and will give them access to WMD. These monsters need to be dealt with, and stood up to. GO ISRAEL!!!

Israel doesn't have any reason to use justification for the attacking they are doing-even if it's killing the people of Lebanon. They are defending themselves from terrorists and will do anything and everything to win. Lebanon becomes their enemy when they sit there and don't kick those fcuking clowns out. So, let the games begin.

I agree with you. Israel has every right to defend themselves as Hizbullah started this war. I hope that Israel hunts down these rabid dogs and kills all of them as they are responsible not only for Israel deaths but people in Lebanon as well by hiding where the people are as cowardly terroists do!

How do you negotiate with starving sharks? We all need to come to grips with the fact the world is dealing with a life form that has only one purpose -- the complete destruction of ANY one that does not agree or completly comply with their way of so-called life. First is Israel, then the U.S,, Britton, Austraila, Italy, Germany, Japan, Tiawan, Brazil, etc, etc. The complete destruction. Will it be them or us that prevails?
I choose us.

Israel does not have to justify defending itself to me. If these Islamic Nut jobs were lobbing rockets into Queens, would we even hesitate to knock their #@*$s in the dirt??

You know terrorism is like a virus. And what does your doctor tell you..he says "take all your medication...we want to be sure to kill the virus."

It's time to say goodbye to Hezbollah...they're about to be innoculated and it's about time.

they say history repeats itself. and we all know its true. I believe that what’s going on in Iran and the whole middle east is the same as what happened before ww2. you’ve got Germany and Hitler (Iran/Syria/Lebanon and all the terrorist regimes), then Hitler turns on the jews and begins executing them (as is now this very moment in Israel) and because of global tolerance, Hitler grows to a super power, recruits japan, and the free world losses millions of lives in a war that could have been prevented ( our president has convinced congress to try and prevent the middle east from becoming the next out of control problem, but the media makes him out to be an evil war monger, reasoning that he lacks "tolerance" and needs to butt out of the middle east's problems). I don’t know about you, but this scares the hell out of me. I don’t want another world war, I want to finish this war on terror so we don’t have to see millions of innocent jews, and our service men die.
