Sure. As long as they don't play with their nipples when the operation's done.

As a matter of "self-esteem"....probably not. As a matter of "health"...then yes.
Notwithstanding the "visual" aspects, some women--many women, in fact--have breast-enhancing surgery following mastectomies. These procedures are done to restore a woman's life to something resembling "normal".
Sometimes, a woman may be blessed/cursed with abnormally large breasts. In a case like this, breast reduction surgery may be in order, to alleviate strain on the woman's back.
So, if a woman's health is in question, I see no problem with (what amounts to) necessary surgery.
Just because she (a nun) wants bigger boobs? Probably not!

If that's your logic - then no. Because surgery is dangerous to health and nuns should not purposefully endanger themselves.
As for the whole self-esteem issue, I would like to think that nuns should focus on acceptance of self as is...

Yes, but be warned: A study that was done said that 60% of the women who had breast implants engaged in sexual immorality after the procedure....Just thought you should be warned. I know that would be a terrible price for a nun to pay.

How could breast implants possibly improve a nun's self-esteem? Who is she trying to impress, God?

I don't exactly think that nun's should need implants. God didn't create implants so why would God want someone to get them? You shouldn't need to get something like that to feel better about yourself, be happy with who you are. I'm sure you've heard this hundreds of times, but there's no one else like you in the world so why try to be something that you're not?

Just a little bored are we? The better question would be if nuns are allowed to have a breast reduction.

Nuns are not even allowed to have any feelings for anyone much less a sexual one once they commit to the church. It just does not make any sense for them to do so. They would not need to do it for their health. That doesn't make any sense.

it seems to me like a nun getting implants would totally be against everything that people usually get the implants for. they aren't supposed to seek after attention and recognition on earth, so even if they could, why bother? aren't nuns supposed to focus on their faith and on God?
