If you drop down to two meals a day, you will eventually gain weight. Not eating makes your body slow down so it does not use all the food too soon. By slowing your metabolism, your body works on less food by burning slower. You must eat three to four small balanced meals per day. Special K can be the first one and a mid day one as well. Use skim or 1% fat milk. Increase the amount of waterto 8 -10 glasses per day and make sure ou consume one glass about 30 minutes before your next meal. You will want less food by the time you are ready to eat. drop all sugary drinks and extra fats. Increase your exercise to four days per week for 40 - 50 minutes per day of high cardio. You will lose weight, gain muscle, lose inches and your skin will look clear with a nice glow.

Any diet will work if you stick to it. So yes, the special k diet would work for most people. But since you're significantly lowering your caloric intake, you'd need to keep it up to keep the weight off, meaning you'll probably gain the weight back once you start eating normally again.
Want a better, permanent, cheap solution? Take a run around your neighborhood. It's cheap (no membership to the gym required, and all you need are a shirt, shorts, and running shoes), it's accessible (you don't have to drive to the gym everytime you want to work out; just go outside and run, Lola, run), you don't have to limit your caloric intake, just eat healthier foods, and it gives you great results in a short amount of time.

I agree with 'the godess'. I tried the diet and it worked for me. It does get boring eating just cereal for breakfast and lunch. Adding fruits to your diet can make it a little interesting. Sometimes when I craved, I ate your regular egg, toast and fruits for breakfast or sandwiches, salads or anything I crave for lunch. You have to include exercising if you want to get any results. I think the safest thing to do first is to consult with your doctor first before you start any diet.

i usually get bored of just cereal for long periods of time, so every time i had a bowl i'd put different fruits on it, banana, strawberrys, raspberrys, etc. its also healthier to do that because your getting more nutrients than just downing carbs.
