Sorry, I'm not a girl. But you don't need to lose weight.

You need to forget about weight and think about health and fitness instead. There are plenty of attractive women 20 lbs over their 'ideal' weight so it's not an issue even when you mature.

Most importantly, if you start worrying about your weight you'll starve yourself til you're stick-thin, and at your age that will severely impact your development.

If you feel any pressure from girls your age, you need to find new friends. If you think boys won't like you, you can forget about those boys as well, because they'll be the shallow ones who would only end up wanting one thing from you and would leave you when they get sick of you.

You'll be much happier just accepting how you are and having fun - sure, when you get to 17-18 you can start working out if you're not happy with your figure, but don't diet. Ever.

95 seems small to me but I am tall as far as girls go so I was getting to about my weight now when I was your age (I'm around 140 at my heaviest). Don't play into that super model stero type that says women have to be like 100 pounds and about oh I don't know 6foot 5. The average woman is about 5foot 5 an around 125-135 pounds, and about a size 12-14. Don't trying to loose weight you are too young to worry about that quite yet. I do alot of pagents and I am constantly working on my body. I you want to not loose weight but shed inches, the best way to do it is to cut refined sugars, fried foods, and high saturated fat foods, I also go to the gym for about 1 -2 hours a day at least 4 times a week. I focus on cardio and tone. Also if you play sports and are athletic it is very important to remember that muscle weighs much more than fat. Another thing I do is not worry about pounds so much as inches. My body is naturally a size 8 wich at the taller end of 5 foot 9 isn't that bad, not to mention when I am that size I am eating whatever I want and only going to the gym about 2 times a week. But when I am doing my pagent stuff I like to keep myself at the small end of a size 6 which is alot of work from me. So pick a size or so range. What seems to be the size your body stays at with reasonable eating habits, and a small amount of working out, lets just for the sake of this say that you are usually around a size 6, the smallest below that, that you would really want to go is a comfortable to small size 4 and that would be pushing it. I hope this helps you. Also at you age I would recomend talking to a parent about this, weight loss at a young age is a hard thing, I also dance and in ballet there is alot of pressure to be super skinny, I know I sturggled with that when I was round your age.

It's not weight but body fat that should concern you and even that will fluctuate because at 12 your body is still growing and Baby Fat is coming off and your Grown up curves are coming, in order to have a Grown Woman's body that does take a period of getting some weight fluctuation for SOME girls, if you are like them, you will be proud of the results, I was.

Body builders are "overweight" because Muscle weighs more than fat, and a lot of Skinny dudes are more muscular than the average muscular woman, so you can never look at someone and tell because everyone's weight distributes differently on their particular body depending on genetics/bone structure, height and other factors. Also, at certain times of the Month a woman can retain more water and feel more bloated and even think they weigh more.

But AGAIN your weight is not the key issue to Health, it's body fat, I am sure that plenty of Celebrities ie Beyonce, Britney Spears and others worked out and may have gained weight at times but this is because as you add muscle tone, your body weighs more, it's a GOOD thing, you fit clothes sleeker, you look better and more firm and tone...so concentrate on exercise and leave the "weight" to your Pediatrician or Doctor.

dear Nicole, cause you are 12 you are concerned about your weight. ask yourself. am i healthy? do i get sick often ? Do i eat junk food instead of vegetables and fruit ? Do i actually get any exercise, play a sport ? What matters here Nicole is not what you weigh, but if you are healthy and exercise and eat good food, not much junk. and cut out the soda girl. you want to have good health habits for a lifetime not just a few years. look at the big picture. and while you are at it., ask yourself if you like the person inside the body. are you a good friend, loyal and supportive of others. Do you give of yourself. Don't worry about the cool girls Nicole. When you look in the mirror for the rest of your life you have to like the person you see, not outside, but more importantly inside. Look at it this way, if you die tomorrow do you think God will ask you how much you weigh, or if you were one of the cool girls. or would he be more concerned with what kind of a heart you have and if you were a good person. Good luck and be true to yourself, be healthy and happy, no matter what you weigh
