theres a girl i have been in love with for a long time, about 2 years, we became good friends, and when i asked if she thought there could be more between us, she told me i am like a brother to her. for you women, what does that mean? cause i know what i take it as ( i still want you to do things for me, i care a lot about you, but the thought of being intimate with you makes me ill) i could be wrong, but thats what i get out of it.

this friendship/relationship is not going to go anywhere. lt is time for you to move on. The moment she says to you l think of you as a brother, it is obvious you are barking up the wrong tree, IF you are looking for a relationship. with her. You will cause yourself alot of grief if you hang around and hope for something that is not there. Both of you have to be on the same page to make it work. lf being intimate with you makes her ill, then my friend it is a dead end. Be friends, although that would not work for me, and tell her you are going to move on. My answer may seem easy to type and say, but it is good advice for you....

I think it means that she could never fall in Love with u or be attracted to u in that way coz Ur like a brother to her,and she cares about u like one,coz one of my best friends has been in love with me for a year too and I told him the same thing n thats what I meant by it. so I'd know. Sorry about that :(

She cares about you very deeply, but not in a romantic way. However, I have seen relationships where close friends do end up falling in love with each other, so don't give up hope just yet-- but don't be too pushy, either. ;) And if it doesn't work out like you want it to, doesn't it at least make you happy to know you ended up with a wonderful friend whom you've shared many great times with?? It could be worse, for sure.

no not at all. it may be her way of saying i don't want to loose our friendship because she's
not ready for a boy friend, in fear of hurting you
and what ya'll have. then again she may think of you as a brother thats good to her more like a best friend. You may or maynot know how she
feels deep down. fear will do alot to a person
ask her what she means. but don't be pushy. give her time.mean time only the wheel that sqeeks get oiled. speak up.but don't ruin what you have.

Shes saying that like a member of her family, she loves you and always will. she trusts you, and will run to you when she has problems. but like everyone else has said, she has no intention in becoming involved with you. because... hypothetically speaking, you are her brother. and thats not right, being 'with' your family. although, if you ask me... what she said about you being like a brother to her; if she means it...i think things will change, and as she goes through some tough patches and she finds that your the one thats always there for her...shell change her mind. hopefully youll still be there for her then tho.

When a girl tells you this, it means she isnt interested, and that you dont stand a chance. She is being kind, not wanting to hurt you, because she thinks of you as a friend only, or doesnt want to deal with a scene. Move on, and seek another girl.

That she cares deeply for you but that the idea of kissing and all that is like doing that with her brother. So there is no sensual or arousing feelings for you at all. Sorry but you could have a real good friend in her.

Have you seen that movie "Just Friends"? Well that is exactly what is going on here, she dosent think of you like that. When you really get to know someone then they become "brothers". It happens all the time she really likes you but not as a dating option. Sorry.

I think you are taking it too hard. It means she wants a close relationship with you that does not include sex. Look at it this way best friends last forever most bf/gf relationships break up and they do not remain friends. Maybe later you will become more than friends.

your take on it is pretty much right. if i told a guy that i think of him as a brother, he is more of a friend to hang out with. he might be cute, but he is either too goofy or immature. i can't even imagine being intimate with Brian (the brotherly type). sorry.
