I'm studying the civil war. just looking for answers.

They aren't forgetting that they lost the Civil War...and it implies "Revenge" in what they hold dear to them...and, of course it would throw us back to the Stone Age...so I won't even "go there"...but say...it often encompasses a root in bigotry. They wish for a second chance to right what they perceive as wrong. I find it disturbing after all these years.

The first thing you should know is that people from the south do not say " forgetting" they say " forgettun" ..

I feel like they are just keeping up their ancestor's memory. Which is really just a whole bunch of stubbornness, in my opinion, but hey. Since then the confederate flag has been waving and has been associated with everything from drag-racing to belly-button rings.
