Large dogs take a long time to mature. He will reach his maximum height at 18 months and continue to fill out for another six months.

They usually have their full height by about 16 months, but they continue to fill out and put on muscle until they are about two years old. You can't predict how big he will be without looking at his parents and knowing their growth rates. Some lines grow faster and mature earlier. Be glad if he's a little smaller - he'll have fewer problems with his joints!

If he is only 10 months old he still has some growing to do. GP's grow the fastest in the first year, but they can continue to grow at a slower rate up to 4 years of age.
